The 32nd edition of MERIT is underway with the teams finally able to put their strategies to the test.
It's difficult to make an interpretation on the results from the first competitive round. What we may be measuring is how much learning the teams achieved during the trials. Those that achieved the best understanding of the issues and variables involved should have done better. But inspiration may have obscured that. The next few rounds will indicate which teams have developed the best strategy and which teams need to rethink their strategy.

We encourage you to Register early for MERIT 2022, the annual construction business game supported by The Institution of Civil Engineers, The Chartered Institute of Building and Loughborough University.
Trialling allows teams to familiarise themselves with the simulation, understand the data entry process, make mistakes and try out mad ideas all before the game begins in earnest.
