take a break

As the Early Phase draws to a close, we're pleased to annonce that the following teams are invited to take place in the MERIT University Tournament 2025 Final:

AMRY - University of Manchester
QS Panda - Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Gopher Dragons - University of Minnesota
Team Bradford - University of Bradford

Its now time to reset the score, tweak the settings, and enter the Final Phase.

Starting with two Early Year rounds, just like the Early Phase, the game will then transfer into the Final Years. The four rounds of Final Years are much more competitive as each team will be competing against all the other teams and the simulation for work and project managers, and they'll have less time to make decisions.

For now, take a break, the Final starts Monday 28 April 2025.

As we enter the last round of the MERIT University Tournament Early Phase, 'AMRY' (University of Manchester) take over the lead from the incumbent 'QS Panda' (Hong Kong Polytechnic University).

While the positions may look the same, the strategies that have brought the teams to this point are vary different.

'QS Panda' (Hong Kong Polytechnic University) continue to hold a strong position at the top, as 'AMRY' (University of Manchester), 'Gopher Diggers' (University of Minnesota) and 'Team Bradford' (University of Bradford) solidify there respective second, third and fourth places.

With the penultimate round now upon us, teams may opt to make that risky decision that could produce big movements.
It be the difference between being an also-ran, or one that stands out from the crowd.

hot air balloons

There's been a change at the top of the leaderboard, as 'QS Panda' (Hong Kong Polytechnic University) rise to the top from their previous third position. 'AMRY' (University of Manchester) and 'Gopher Diggers' (University of Minnesota) fall one place each to second and third respectively, as 'Team Bradford' (University of Bradford) enter the fray in fourth.

As we enter the second half of the Early Years, now is the time for teams to re-evaluate their strategy. If they leave it any later, any benefit expected from a change, may not materialise.

Let's channel that 'hot air' and see where the winds take us.

As the competition gets into its stride the top two teams from last week have consolidated their positions at the top of the leader board. But while 'AMRY' (University of Manchester) and 'Gopher Diggers' (University of Minnesota) may think its 'All too easy', all the action is happening below them as teams' grand designs are refined and come into play.

With the steep learning curve of Trialling the first round now behind them, we look forward to the teams converting their new found learning into a winning strategy

peg starting position

The MERIT University Tournament 2025 gets underway as the teams make their first moves.

'AMRY' of University of Manchester have had a strong Trialling phase, with 'Gopher Diggers' from the University of Minnesota and 'BABA' from HK PolyU,SPEED tight on their heels.

As the Teams settle into the game, its hard to make any predicitons as to who will come out on top. Those that achieved the best understanding of the issues and variables involved should do better, but inspiration may have obscured that. The next few rounds will indicate which teams have developed the best strategy and which teams need to have a rethink.

Good luck to all the teams.
