With just two hurdles to go it's IMF by a short-head...
IMF are beginning to believe that they can lead from the front all the way to the finish. A typically strong performance has seen them put clear blue water between them and the chasing teams of DDH and An Engineer fixed my printer. Nevertheless the chasing teams are still firmly in the hunt and there is still time to make that decisive move. Given the tight market any team making a double-digit improvement in performance can feel pleased with their results - so Atkins India with a 22% hike have really shown the way, moving from 39th to 22nd in one round! Having their own arm-wrestling match are Happold Horizon and Firm Foundations - both with 2685 point each.
Use it or lose it! Now is the time....
They think it's all over.....!
IMF are beginning to look unassailable at the top of the leader board - whatever it is they are doing, they are doing it well! DDH, An Engineer fixed my Printer and AureCAN are all within a few points of each other and remain in contention for the crown. Improver of the week goes to Cyprus Construction of SKM who move up to 16th position after a 15% hike in performance but clearly the market is getting tighter with movements both down the table as well as up.
Remember fortune favours the brave!
Is it a bird, is it a plane .....no it's Impossible Mission Force!
ARUP team IMF maintained their grip on the leader board with another solid performance in round 8. DDF and An Engineer fixed my Printer remain in contention and like Sir Chris Hoy are waiting to round the final bend before swooping down for the win! The Team award is hotting up with Atkins, Mott MacDonald and Aurecon all in good shape to take the trophy. Improver of the week goes to Constructures 1 who bagged an impressive 29% improvement. A special mention is also due to Amey All Stars who clawed their way off the bottom of the pack after taking their eye off the ball in the last round. We are still waiting to hear the Nittany Lions roar and the Bridge Busters and Blasters to bring the house down!
Stay tuned ...
To dream the impossible dream...
IMF (Impossible Mission Force) cemented their position at the top of the leader board with an emphatic 23% improvement to stretch their lead to 139 points from their closest competitor DDH. Skanska team - 'An engineer fixed my printer' moved from 5th to 3rd slot, but riser of the week goes to Motts Africa who jump 10 places with a truly impressive improvement of 26%. Further down the table Ovathought also had an excellent round moving from 33rd to 15th. Another round like that and they will be serious contenders. There is much intercompany rivalry becoming apparent – Team Aurecon are packing well with 3 teams in the top 8.
It’s still early doors – there is much to play for and as the market changes the differences between cautious and courageous strategies will become evident. But which is best...? Only time will tell.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it........
From out of nowhere, IMF (Impossible Mission Force), blasted into the top slot during the second round of MERIT with a 32 point cushion. Early leaders DDH had to settle for second place, but even now they are plotting their return to what they see as their “rightful” position. Risky Business (Atkins) put in a very strong performance with a 23% improvement to move from 9th to 3rd. Further down the table there was the usual jostling for positions with a special mention due to A-one+ who improved a massive 28%.
As the market stabilises and the teams develop their operational strategies winners and losers will emerge – which will you be?
This message will self destruct in 20 seconds.......
