small ripple

In the penultimate round of the Early Years, Glasgow Caledonian's 'Crazy brick mover' remain in first and Manchester's 'Legends Never Die' hold second. In Period 8 we said it was tight at the top with a gap of 91 points, well GCal has stretched it to 113 points. Its still very tight, but GCal are still leading the way.

The same teams are all in the top six with only two changes in ranking. Manchester's 'Greenfield' rise to third while Glasgow Caledonian's 'JIT Engineering Company' slip to fourth. Meanwhile, GCal's 'It takes four' and NUS's 'Blue Skies' stay locked in fifth and sixth respectively.

Looking at performance 'Crazy brick mover' and 'Legends Never Die' both improved by 12%. 'Greenfield' improved by 16% making them the best performing team this round, which is why they overtook 'JIT Engineering Company' who only improved by 7%. What decisions did 'Greenfield' take that drove their performance? Can they repeat it?

'Greenfield' has demonstrated that with the right decisions you can out-perform other teams.

We're excited to see who will make the biggest splash in the next round.

cases

Glasgow Caledonian's 'Crazy Brick Movers' remain in first. Manchester's 'Legend Never Dies' remains second. The gap between them is a negligible 91 points but it was only 21 in the last round. GCal will be claiming they are stretching their lead, but it isn't a very secure one and one slight misjudgement by GCal or some inspiration from Manchester could easily wipe this gap out in a single round.

Glasgow Caledonians success continues as their team 'JIT Engineering Company' have moved up to third from fourth replacing Manchester's 'Greenfield' who slip to fourth. It seems like we have a Glasgow Caledonian v Manchester competition.

Glasgow Caledonian's 'It takes four' remain in fifth place but NUS's 'Blue Skies' break into the top six by moving to sixth place from seventh replacing Minnesota's 'UMN Gopher'.

The gap between first and sixth is now 661 points and looking like a challenge to overcome. The range of improvement for the top six is 10% to 16%.

It's time for a serious repacking of strategy to determine how to improve your ranking.

adjustment

Top six stay the same but some shuffling with three teams improving their place and three slipping a little.

Improving are Glasgow Caledonian's Crazy Brick Mover now leading in first up from second, Mancheste’s Greenfield up to third from fifth, a good surge and Glasgow Caledonian's It Takes Four up to fifth from sixth.

Slipping a little are Manchester's Legends never die losing first place but only to a close second place. Glasgow Caledonian's JIT Engineering Company down one from third to fourth and Minnesota's UMN Gopher 2 slip two places from fourth to sixth.

The points gap between first and sixth has widened a little to 445 but still bridgeable perhaps in two rounds. The percentage improvement is down a bit with both teams in first and third increasing by 15%.
Still all to play for. Focus and detailed decision making needed. Good luck to all teams.
