At period 7, the third round of MERIT, the two teams from The Mass Transit Railway, Hong Kong , ‘New Lines New Minds’ and ‘New Lines New Minds Enginetic’ hold positions one and two which they have occupied from the beginning. This is the first appearance of teams from MTR in MERIT and they have clearly done their homework on how to succeed. Perhaps it’s the number of trials they ran that has given them the edge or perhaps it the rumour from Hong Kong that they’ve built their own model to analyse MERIT decisions! If so, it is a very good model. An Arup team, ‘They think its all Ova’ are lying third. Arup have form in MERIT being the reigning champions having won in 2012, they also won the sponsors prize in 2011. So there is some experience there.
